A new £5.7m day centre will replace the existing Jubilee Centre on Tennyson Street, Halliwell, which was built in 1983 and has been deemed unsuitable for future use.

 

The new building will be a state-of-the-art day centre with a hydrotherapy pool for adults with learning and physical disabilities, young people with autism and young people with disabilities who have left school and are transitioning to adulthood.

 

Arpenter undertook a detailed survey of the existing buildings furniture and equipment, giving each item a condition rating for its reuse in the new building.

 

Healthcare furniture and equipment is expensive. By repurposing their quality existing FF&E, the centre will significantly reduce their costs and carbon footprint.
