What is FF&E?
FF&E stands for furniture, fixtures and equipment. When sourcing FF&E for an office, you need to include everything the room that isn’t a part of the architecture. Office equipment and furniture that aren’t bolted to the building’s structure, such as desks, telephones, and partitions can be incorporated into FF&E.
What is the difference between office equipment and furniture & fixtures?
Office furniture and fixtures include items that are part of the office’s design, such as desks, tables, chairs and bookshelves. These items usually cost hundreds or thousands of pounds, and last for minimum of five years. High-quality furniture can last a lifetime and may never need to be replaced.
Office equipment is a functional or mechanical item used to make production in the office easier, such as a computer, printer or copy machine. These items may need to be replaced more often than office furniture and fixtures, especially when new innovations and technology is created. The more important the office equipment’s function is, the more often it will need to be replaced.
